Babbacombe is to the north of Torquay and below the cliffs at Babbacombe are two beaches, Babbacombe Beach which is a small pebble beach and Oddicombe Beach which is a long red sandy beach. Facilities are all close to both beaches but parking is rather limited.Safety:

At Babbacombe it is possible to park by the beach and there are steps and a slipway to the beach. Access to Oddicombe is via the Babbacombe cliff railway which is suitable for wheelchairs. Alternative access to Oddicombe Beach is via a long steep path.Dogs:
Dogs allowed all year at Babbacombe Beach. Dogs banned 1st May to 30th September at Oddicombe Beach.Directions:
Torquay is 24 miles from Exeter. From Exeter take the A38 and shortly after Exeter take the A380 (signposted to Torquay) and continue on the A380 past Newton Abbott to the outskirts of Torquay. On the A380 at the Edginswell junction turn left where signposted to Torquay onto the A3022. Follow the A3022 to the sea front at Torre Abbey Sands. Then turn left to follow the A379 into Torquay town centre. Follow the A379 through Torquay until Babbacombe. To park at Babbacombe Beach, approaching Babbacombe turn right onto Babbacombe Downs Road (signposted to Babbacombe Beach) and then turn right again onto Beach Road (again signposted to Babbacombe Beach).Post Code:
